It is wonderful to have the 100th Anniversary for Ritzville High School. We came to Ritzville from San Diego, CA, to join my grandmother and uncle in Ritzville, Rosa and Rudy Richter. I was in my senior year of high school and graduated in the class of 1942. It was a wonderful time of my life.

though we don't get home as often as we'd like, we keep up with the Broncos (both RHS and Denver!!) This website is incredible--I can honestly tell you that our son's HS, with an enrollment of 1500 students does not have the updated postings you do! Congratulations--we realize what a huge effort this is! jmw

The Ritzville High School class of 1956 is excited to announce a new endeavor called "Project 56." This idea originated one year ago when our class met to plan our 50th high school reunion.

We have established a wish list whose top priority is to build a new all-weather track. The building of a new grandstand, developing new baseball fields across from the present high school, renovating the tennis courts and a new Ag/FFA building are just a few of our goals. We also are developing a financial source to provide all our graduates with funds for continuing education scholarships.

This monumental project will require financial help from RHS alumni and many other sources. To this end we have submitted applications for several grants, two of which are specifically for the new track. And we will continue to pursue more grant monies.

To date we have received donations of $25,000 from the Bronco Boosters, $25,000 from the Harold Undeberg family plus another $4,000 Memorial from the Undeberg family. In addition John Wellsandt has donated acreage across the coulee from the high school.

Our goal is to provide the best facilities for our students. To attain this goal we need your help and support. Our children are the responsibility of all of us.

Please send your tax deductible donation to: Project 56, c/o Kris Harder, Leffel, Otis & Warwick, 219 West Main, Ritzville, WA 99169.

We will have a table set up at the banquet with brochures and information about "Project 56". See you at the Alumni banquet.

For additional information, please send an email to project56@ritzvillealumni.com.

Hi, all you folks who did such a wonderful job celebrating 100 years of RHS
Alumni activities. I really enjoyed my whole time back in Ritzville and want
to thank you for doing such a great job. The huge amount of work undertaken by
the whole town was obvious in the special results. I know my father, Jack
Kembel, would have been so proud of having graduated with the class of '05. I
am pleased I was able to partake in the celebration. Thank you again.
Jacqueline "Brownie" Summers , class of '46.

It was wonderful seeing such a large turnout at this year's banquet. For those of you that didn't make it, you missed a very special event. So many faces and so few names - I guess I have to admit to getting old also.
I am looking for any pictures that were taken this year so that I can share them on the website with all of our classmates. If you have any digital pictures that you would like to share, please email them to me.
Let's make next year's event even larger.
